Gold prices on Saturday grew to a historic high of Rs78, 600 per tola after the world marked closed its trading at $1400 an ounce, traders said. With an increase of Rs500 per tola, the local market closed gold trading at Rs78, 600, which is now the new high of the precious metal value. The gold was traded at $1400 on the world market, according to the traders.
Gold per 10 grams is now selling at Rs67,387 with an increase of Rs 429 in a single day trade. Traders said that the increase in the gold prices on the local market took place after the yellow metal posted a rise of $6 per ounce globally.
