On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,060. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.666 billion and the number of lots traded 7,271.
Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 3.283 billion followed by gold PKR 2.185 billion, DJ PKR 1.462 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 793.826 million, currencies through COTS PKR 424.753 million, platinum PKR 314.021 million, SP500 PKR 93.583 million, silver PKR 84.587 million, natural gas PKR 18.718 million, copper PKR 4.795 million and Brent crude oil PKR 1.138 million. In agriculture commodities one lot of corn valued at PKR 3.519 million and 2 lots of cotton valued at PKR 1.060 million were traded.
