Terming Prime Minister Imran Khan as a 'fascist', Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shahbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that the government is playing with the health of Rana Sanaullah and if anything happened to him, Imran Niazi would be directly responsible.
He said this while talking to media here on Wednesday along with former PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Nabeela Sanaullah, wife of PML-N MNA Rana Sanaullah, who was arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) with over 21 kilograms of drugs and afterward sent to Camp Jail on a 14-day judicial remand.
The PML-N President said the whole party is standing with Rana Sanaullah and his family. He accused the government of 'criminal negligence' which was not providing proper food, water and medicines. "There is no fan or power supply. He also needs to take medicines for his eye which is not being provided," Shahbaz said. "Is this the state of Madina which the present inapt rulers are claiming." He urged all the concerned to take notice of the situation.
Reiterating Rana Sanaullah's innocence, Shahbaz said the PML-N has been a target of PM Imran. "They could not find any corruption case against Sanaullah through the NAB, so they made up a heroine case against him. They are creating animosity in the society by calling the opposition looters, plunderers and liars," he added.
Expressing concern over the state of country's economy, Shahbaz said Imran lacks any vision while he has no team which can address manifold challenges. He said soaring inflation, heavy taxes and dollar's appreciation had caused serious challenges.
Former PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said Rana Sanaullah faced dictatorship of Zia-ul-Haq, Pervez Musharraf and now he is facing fascist acts of Imran-led government.
Nabeela shared that her husband had been worried about his family's safety for the past few days. "He told me to keep a guard whenever I left the house. But I would always tell him that I am a lioness and nothing will happen to me."
