The Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) has upgraded 43 superintending engineers to the post of chief engineers, BPS 20. According to the notification, the upgraded engineers belong to Lahore Electric Supply Company, Gujranwala Electric Supply Company and Islamabad Electric Supply Company.
The promotions were long overdue and being delayed over the last many months. This delay was causing panic amongst officers. The upgraded SEs have been posted to other DISCOs. Meanwhile, another notification for promotion of executive engineers to superintending engineers would be issued in a day or so.
