Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has rejected the imposition of new taxes, documentation for retailers and increase in price of daily use commodities in federal and provincial budget for fiscal year 2019-20 and announced to fully support the traders' shutter down strike on July 13, against the government's budgetary measures.
SCCI president Faiz Muhammad Faizi in a press statement issued here on Tuesday criticized the government's harsh budgetary measures and asked to withdraw additional taxes, documentation on retail level as well as stop harassment of traders by various tactics immediately. He said the traders' community are contributing to economy by paying voluntarily different taxes on regular basis.
