LONDON: European stock markets rose at the open on Friday as traders awaited the release of key US jobs data after China-US trade talks ended without a deal.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index climbed 0.3 percent to 6,987.23 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index gained 0.2 percent to 11,198.46 points and the Paris CAC 40 was up 0.2 percent to 5,004.65.
