On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,055. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.059 billion and the number of lots traded 10,103. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.215 billion followed by NSDQ100 PKR 1.528 billion, SP500 PKR 1.406 billion, DJ PKR 1.290 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 646.815 million, currencies through COTS PKR 621.707 million, platinum PKR 173.743 million, silver PKR 125.428 million, copper PKR 44.493 million, natural gas PKR 5.855 million and Brent crude oil PKR 0.531 million. In agriculture one lot of wheat valued at PKR 4.146 million, one lot of corn amounting at PKR 3.604 million and 6 lots of cotton valued at PKR 2.996 million were traded.
