Representatives of the Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA) Punjab on Wednesday announced not to increase the price of flour in a meeting with the Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar. The delegation also ensured that there would be no shortage of flour nor its price will be increased and the rate of 'Roti' will also not be increased as well. They thanked the Chief Minister for solving the tax relating issue and said that Usman Buzdar has conveyed their point of view about implementation of tax to the federal government in a best manner.
The delegation appreciated the efforts of Chief Minister for providing relief to the people and assured that they would work side by side with the government in this regard. They said that PTI government is our own and we are with the government in the mission of public welfare.
Those who called on the Chief Minister included Chairman PFMA Punjab Habib Khan Leghari, Asim Raza Ahmad, former Chairman Mian Riaz, Senior Vice President Hafiz Ahmad and Chaudhry Iftikhar. Food Minister Samiullah Chaudhry, Chief Secretary, Secretary Food, Secretary Industries, Secretary Information and Director Food were also present.
Talking on the occasion, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that the PTI government is making every effort to provide relief to the common man. The decision of the Flour Mills Association regarding not increasing the rate of flour is laudable as it would not burden the common man. He said that the Punjab government will continue the process of consultation with the Flour Mills Association in future as well and their problems will be solved on a priority basis.
