On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,029. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 9.620 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 9,183.
Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 2.501 billion followed by gold PKR 2.205 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.967 billion, DJ PKR 1.261 billion, Platinum PKR 808.600 million, currencies through COTS PKR 412.473 million, silver PKR 338.631 million, SP500 PKR 112.877 million, copper PKR 5.171 million, natural gas PKR 3.320 million and Brent crude oil PKR 2.781 million. In agriculture 16 lots of cotton valued at PKR 30.474 million and 2 lots of corn valued at PKR 7.062 million were traded.
