Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's leader Khurram Sher Zaman on Saturday filed a constitutional petition in Sindh High Court (SHC), seeking payment of arrears of dues of members of provincial Assembly.
PTI leader submitted before the court that salaries and allowances of members of Sindh Assembly were raised in 2017 under an act of assembly.
He stated in the petition that members of Assembly have not been paid the raised salaries and allowances despite passage of act two years back and the arrears accumulated to millions of rupees.
PTI leader requested the court to issue directives to provincial government to release the amount to the members of Sindh Assembly.
Sindh chief minister, Speaker provincial Assembly, chief secretary, provincial Law minister and others have been made respondents in the petition.
