Like every year, Islamic Relief Pakistan distributed Qurbani meat packs among deserving families across Pakistan under its Qurbani Programme. According to the details, more than 15000 meat packs were distributed among communities living in areas of North Waziristan, Tribal district Khyber, Upper Orakzai, Nowshera, Kohat, Buner, Muzzafarbad, Bagh and Rawalpindi.
Country Director Islamic Relief Pakistan, Umair Hasan while expressing his views said that "We try to reach and share the blessings of Eid-ul-Azha with people living in remote areas and tough situations."
He said this year we have partnered with the local governments across Pakistan to promote eco-friendly Qurbani through which the masses were being advised and educated on how and where to dispose the animal waste in order to minimize its effect on climate. Meanwhile Additional Deputy Commissioner of Khyber tribal district, NWA, Bagh city and Assistant Commissioner Kohat along with representatives of other government bodies not only participated in the meat distribution ceremonies but also visited the abattoir for inspection and applauded the hygienic standards and services of Islamic Relief.-PR
