Karachi traffic police on Monday announced that it would launch a special drive against substandard and fancy number plates of vehicles next month. The drive against fancy number plates on motorcycles, cars and jeeps, etc, would begin from August 1 in Karachi, it said in a statement.
The law enforcers have advised the concerned citizens to display numbers plates issued by the Excise Department or as per notified pattern of Excise department. Besides imposing penalty on the violators, the motorcycles/ vehicles could also be impounded, the statement said.
