The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Mohammad Bux Mahar won by-election in NA-205 Ghotki by getting 89,180 votes while Independent candidate Ahmed Ali Mahar taken 72,499 votes, according to unofficial results from all 290 polling stations on Tuesday. Two powerful Mahars, who also happened to be maternal uncle and nephew, are contesting for the seat fallen vacant after the death of Ali Mohammad Khan Mahar, a former Sindh chief minister.
