Lawyers all over the country will observe nationwide strike on Saturday (tomorrow) to condemn the filing of references against Justice Qazi Faez Isa, a judge of Supreme Court, and Justice KK Agha, a judge of Sindh High Court. Vice-Chairman Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) Syed Amjad Shah in a statement on Thursday said the lawyers will hold protest meetings in the bar rooms and wear black arms bands.
Amjad Shah said in continuation of conventions, the lawyers from all over the country would again gather on Saturday (July 27) at Islamabad Bar Association premises, F-8 Markaz, Islamabad. The lawyers besides condemning references against the judges of superior judiciary will also consider other important matters pertaining to system of dispensation of justice, he added.
