The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar announced the results of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part-II annual examinations for 2019, here on Monday.
A total of 55,474 male and female students were appeared in the examination, out of which 43,000 were declared successful with percentage of 83 against 73 percent in the last year, according to results announced by Controller of Examination of the board during a ceremony held the board auditorium hall here.
Advisor to Chief Minister on Elementary and Secondary Education, Ziaullah Bangash was chief guest at the position holders' ceremony held in premises of the Peshawar board here. Besides, Bashir Khan Yousafzai, chairman of the Peshawar board and secretary, parents of position holders' students, principals of the schools, teachers and the board officials and staffs were present on the occasion.
Tanmeen d/o Malik Pervez Elahi of Science group from Jinnah College for Women, University of Peshawar secured first position by obtaining 1003 marks out 1100. Sajid Ali Khan s/o Waheed Khan of ICMS College System for Boys Hayatabad Peshawar stood second by securing 1001 marks, while Maimoona Khan s/o Alamzeb of science group from Jinnah College for Women, University of Peshawar gained third position by obtaining 1000 marks out of 1100.
In Engineering Group, Alina Dawood d/o Mohamamd Dawood Khan and Muhammad Saleem Barg from Jinnah College for Women University of Peshawar stood first and second position by obtaining 990 and 989 marks out 1100 respectively. Aizaz Ahmad s/o Fazli Dayan secured third position by gaining 978 marks out of 1100.
Sadia Yaqoob d/o Mohammad Yaqoob from Computer Science/General Science Group of PEF Post Graduate College University Town Peshawar stood first by gaining 925 marks out of 1100, while Muhamamd Shaheer Qureshi s/o Muhammad Saleem Khan from New Fazaia Degree College Peshawar secured second position by obtaining 920 marks and Nabeeha Wasim d/o Muhammad Wasim gained third positon by securing 905 marks in the exams.
In Humanities Group, the first position was shared between Zinshah Waqar d/o Waqar Ahmad and Laiba d/o Mushtaq Hussain of Govt Frontier College for Women Peshawar by securing 932 marks out of 1100.
Aisha Kiran d/o Nasir Khan of Govt Girls Degree College Bacha Khan Kohat Road Peshawar stood second by obtaining 922 marks while Faiza d/o Muhammad Yousaf from Govt Frontier College for Women Peshawar secured third position by gaining 920 marks out of 1100.
