Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri on Monday abruptly adjourned the House to avoid clash between the members of ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and opposition Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). Harsh words were exchanged between PTI members Attaullah and Faheem Kahn and PPP member Zulfiqar Bachani on the issue of drainage and cleanness in Karachi.
PTI members from Karachi stood up and urged the speaker to give floor while on the other hand PPP members also wanted floor of the House to speak on the issue of Karachi. The deputy speaker gave floor to PPP member Abdul Qadir Patel to speak.
At this moment, harsh wards were exchanged between Attaullah and Faheem Khan of PTI and Zulfiqar Bachani of PPP. The members also moved to attack one another but the other members of treasury and opposition stopped them.
On this situation, the deputy speaker abruptly adjourned the House till August 1, at 4:00pm.
