Fresh spell of rains likely in next 48 hours

The Met office has predicted fresh spell of rains in next 48 hours. Already, there was scattered spells of rain in the city a day before. According to the fresh forecast, the new spell of rains would continue until Wednesday. It would be third spell of rains in the city. It may be noted that the earlier two spells of torrential rains have resulted into the chocking of drainage system; especially the low-lying areas were inundated with rainwater that took hours to get clear. There are 29 low-lying areas in the city which have inundated with rainwater.
Heavy monsoon spells have resulted into six deaths besides injuring some 11 persons throughout the Punjab in various incidents.
