Saudi Minister for Media Turki bin Abdullah A-Shabana on Wednesday called on Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and exchanged views on issues of mutual interests, Foreign Office said. During the meeting at the Foreign Office, the two also agreed to expand bilateral cooperation in the fields of information and culture. Speaking on the occasion, the foreign minister said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have long maintained historical and cultural relations, and Pakistan gives high value to its ties with Saudi Arabia.
He said the two countries have unanimity of views on important regional and international issues. The foreign minister said Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman's visit to Pakistan in February this year has further strengthened relationship between the two countries. He said establishment of Pakistan-Saudi Supreme Coordination Council is an important step towards promotion of political, economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
