On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,040. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 31.976 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 28,750.
Major business was contributed by DJ amounting to PKR 12.125 billion followed by NSDQ100 PKR 9.106 billion, Gold PKR 4.096 billion, SP500 PKR 4.027 billion, WTI Crude Oil PKR 1.045 billion, Currencies through COTS PKR 946.835 million, Silver PKR 257.081 million, Platinum PKR 236.595 million, Natural Gas PKR 63.402 million, Copper PKR 24.880 million, Brent Crude Oil PKR 23.930 million and Palladium PKR 22.725 million. In agriculture 4 lots of Wheat valued at PKR 15.134 million, 23 lots of Cotton amounting at PKR 11.655 million and one lot of Cotton valued at PKR 3.186 million was traded.
