The Supreme Court (SC) on Saturday issued the roster to hear the cases including important case of revival of Karachi Circular Railway at Karachi Registry next week. According to the roster issued, a three-member bench of SC headed by Justice Gulzar Ahmed will hear the cases. Justice Faisal Arab and Justice Sjjad Ali Shah would be part of the bench.
Bench would take up the reports of various government departments related to different cases especially KCR revival, which the bench would bear on Tuesday. The SC had sought the report from Secretary Railway and other government authorities about the revival of KCR. Court has also summoned the owners of under construction building in an amusement park at Rashid Minhas Road o metropolis
Court also sought the explanation from Chief Secretary Sindh in case pertaining to withdrawal of powers from local government institutions. Apex court also sought the reports from Inspector General (IG) Police Sindh and Director General (DG) Rangers Sindh about the construction of pickets on the main arteries f the city. Court also ordered DG Sindh Building Control Authority to furnish the report with bench about demolishing illegally constructed building in Karachi.
