Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) futures fell on Monday following an abrupt end to a truce in a year-long trade war between China and the United States. The benchmark TOCOM rubber contract for January delivery finished 2.3 yen ($0.0217) lower at 166.2 yen per kg. The most-active rubber contract on the Shanghai futures exchange for September delivery fell 135 yuan ($19.21) to finish at 10,280 yuan per tonne
TOCOM's technically specified rubber (TSR) 20 futures contract for February delivery closed down 3.6 yen at 144.4 yen per kg. The front-month rubber contract on Singapore's SICOM exchange for September delivery last traded at 129 US cents per kg, down 1.3%.
