On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Emirates Airlines has introduced four additional return flights between Islamabad and Dubai, complementing its existing schedule and providing more choice and convenience to the Pakistani travellers. "The additional flights will operate between August 7 and 19 on Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday," disclosed an Emirates Airline's spokesperson here on Tuesday. In this connection, Emirates Vice President Pakistan Jabr Al-Azeeby said that Emirates and Pakistan share a special relationship which goes back over 33 years.
"These additional flights will provide even more options and convenience to our Pakistani customers during the peak travel season around Eid. Students studying abroad, whether in the Middle East, Europe, and the US, can conveniently return to their universities in time for the new term," he added. He also said that Pakistan is a major market for Emirates and they take great pride in the role they play in providing global connectivity for our customers: families, business and leisure customers who are travelling to Dubai and beyond to our wide network of over 155 destinations. "Emirates wishes everyone Eid Mubarak," he added
It may be mentioned that since the commencement of operations in Islamabad on January 1, 1999, Emirates has carried more than 4.4 million passengers from the city. Dubai has been the most popular destination for passengers travelling from Islamabad through the last 20 years. Religious travel to Jeddah, Medina and Baghdad was very frequent while London, New York, Manchester and Birmingham were also very popular destinations for leisure and business travel for Emirates customers travelling from Islamabad.
