Firing incident near residence: NAB official lodges FIR against unidentified culprits
The city police on Friday registered a case against unknown persons in connection with a firing incident near the residence of Deputy Prosecutor National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi. Industrial Area police station registered the first information report (FIR) against unknown persons following Abbasi's complaint. According to the complaint, Abbasi said that he heard gunshots when he was standing outside his house at Sector I-8/3 along with his two sons after seeing off his brother on Thursday night. He suspected that fire was opened by unknown persons to kill him and his sons.
The police registered the FIR and started investigation under the supervision of superintended of police Industrial Area zone. Abbasi was NAB's prosecutor in the three corruption references, Al Aziza Steel Mills, Avenfield properties and Flagship, against former premier Nawaz Sharif and his family.
