Terming public service vital for the country's uplift, the Punjab health minister Dr Yasmin Rashid Saturday said the PTI government believes in spending public money on the masses in a transparent manner. While delivering a lecture to the senior registrars here at the Services Institute of Medical Sciences today, the minister said the PTI government recruited more than 14 thousand doctors in a short span of time purely on merit. Pakistani is a great nation and every Pakistani should raise voice against Indian brutalities in Kashmir, she added.
Principal Services Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) Professor Dr Mahmood Ayyaz, Chairman Iqbal Z. Ahmed, MS Services Hospital Dr Saleem Cheema and a large number of doctors were present on this occasion.
Later, Dr Yasmin Rashid inaugurated Surgical Unit-III in Services Hospital. She said on the occasion that condition in the hospitals cannot be changed without personal interest of senior registrars. She also planted a plant at the SIMS and participated in a ceremony in connection with 72nd Independence Day.
