At least three persons died in rain and flood related incidents in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here on Saturday. According to details, two persons died when their car was swept away by flash flood in Arang Tehsil of Bajaur district. Similarly, one person died in Bahrain area of district Swat. More rain is predicted in some parts of KP during the next 24 hours.
The Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) had already predicted rain in many parts of KP and land sliding in mountainous areas. Advisory was also issued to the relevant departments to take necessary steps to be prepared for any emergency situation. However, that advisory fell flat at least in Torghar district as the administration is not visible anywhere to open the roads and end the difficulties of the local people.
