Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Thursday said that Kashmir was an unfinished agenda of the partition plan of the sub-continent that could only be completed by granting right to self-determination to Kashmiris. She expressed hope that the Kashmir will soon be part of Pakistan.
She said that Kashmir is incomplete without Pakistan. She pointed out that those who had differed with the two-nation theory of the Quaid-e-Azam would have now understood how right he was. She also emphasised that Indian ploy to change status of occupied Kashmir intensified the clash between two ideologies and the Quaid had read the Hindu mentality at that time.
Firdous Awan was addressing a seminar organised by Peshawar Press Club to observe the Indian Independence Day as 'Black Day' and express solidarity with people of Kashmir. Provincial Minister for Information, Shaukat Ali Yousafzai, Advisor CM on merged districts and KP government spokesman, Ajmal Wazir, Director General PID, provincial information officials, other officials and the press club office bearers were also present on the occasion.
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that exploitation of innocent Kashmiris is being carried in disputed territory. She said that Indian PM Modi's recent speech was an eye-opener for everyone and for the whole world, in which he indicated towards their nefarious plan for the entire region. However, she said the PM Modi will not succeed in his evil designs.
The worst kind of atrocities are being committed by the Indian armed forces against the innocent Kashmiris in India occupied Kashmir which had never happened in Palestine, she noted, adding that brutality of India forces remind us about incident of Karbala, the supreme sacrifice of Hazarat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions. She further observed that pregnant women are not allowed to go to hospitals in the occupied territory, which is strongly condemnable.
Welcoming the holding of United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meeting after five decades on Kashmir issue, she said that the move was a diplomatic victory of Pakistan. She said that Russian government had also supported the demand of Pakistan and added that civilised world was taking notice of Modi's illegal and unilateral steps to change the disputed status of the Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK).
Firdous said that this UNSC's meeting on issue of Kashmir was actually India's defeat on its longstanding claim that Kashmir issue is its internal matter. She assured that under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistan will continue advocating for the hapless Kashmiris to plead their case at all forums to compel India to resolve the Kashmir issue as per wishes of the Kashmiri people and under UN Security Council resolutions.
Comparing Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Adolf Hitler, who was responsible for ruining the entire generation from his cruelty and brutality, Modi wanted to do same with the innocent Kashmiris, she added. She said with all these evil steps in IoK, Modi wanted to fulfil his nefarious designs which he started to implement from massive killing of Muslims in Indian Gujarat.
She praised that the cancer of terrorism had wiped out forever due to the sacrifices of Pakistan security forces and people that had restored sustainable peace in tribal region and the whole country. She also saluted the CoAS Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa for giving a clear message to India by his visit to Line of Control (LoC), saying that Pakistan armed forces are fully capable to give benefitting response to the enemy.
She thanked the Peshawar Press Club and journalists' community for arranging the event and observing Indian Independence Day as Black Day. She said the Kashmir will soon be part of Pakistan. Earlier, speaking on the occasion, Shaukat Yousafzai and Ajmal Wazir emphasised the need for resolution of core issue of Kashmir as per UN relevant resolutions.
