Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar on Saturday said that India is against the Afghan peace process and Kartarpur Corridor project; but Pakistan will complete the project before the 550th celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak Dev.
He said this after visiting the family of martyr Lance Naik Taimoor Aslam who sacrificed his life at the Line of Control (LoC). "Taimoor Aslam Shaheed gave his life for Lahore, Punjab and Pakistan and his sacrifice will not go in vein," the Governor said, adding: "I have assured the family of martyr of all out support on behalf of Punjab and Federal Governments."
The Governor maintained that Indian rulers should understand that if war is started, it will be the last war in sub continent. If India is ready for war, we will reply in a befitting manner, he added.
The Governor Sarwar said that India is neither serious in resolving Kashmir issue nor interested in talks. "If India is talking about change in nuclear policy; we also want to convey to India that if they are ready for war; we are also ready for war and 220 million Pakistanis are ready to sacrifice their lives for the defence of country," he said.
He said the voice of Kashmiris has reached the whole world but I want to ask why the conscious of whole leaders is sleeping? Where are the leaders of Muslim world; he questioned?.
"I want to convey to the world and Muslim leaders that they should take notice of killings of humanity and gross human rights violations in Kashmir," the Governor said.
Answering a question, the Governor said that India is conspiring to sabotage the Kartarpur Corridor Project, but we will not let this conspiracy and desire of India succeed. Today whole world and Sikh community is standing in support with this project.
