Business community has welcomed the decision of extending tenure of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa for three years by Prime Minister Imran Khan. President of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) Engr Daroo Khan Achakzai, leader of the business community, former chief executive TDAP S M Muneer and SVP, Saarc CCI Iftikhar Ali Malik and business leaders have congratulated General Qamar Javed Bajwa on his 3 years' extension in his tenure as Chief of Army Staff (CoAS).
They further said that the country confronted with many challenges internally and externally particularly in the wake of recent development in the status of Indian Occupied Kashmir needs his continuity. "During his tenure he proved himself as a professional, dedicated and visionary soldier", they added.
They also expressed their appreciation and solidarity with Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan and Pakistan Army on their stance of Kashmir, Afghanistan and other geopolitical strategic issues.
President Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) Danish Khan said that in the current situation of the region the decision was need of hour and duly considered by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He said, "General Bajwa has played a vital role in prospering our national defence and its capabilities". Vice President Faraz-ur-Rehman said that this decision demonstrates the wishes and hopes of common people of the country.
Danish Khan said that General Bajwa responded the Indian escalation in February and taught a bitter lesson to our enemies. He said that General Bajwa not just ensure the strong defence of country but also played a key role in stabilising economic condition by responding to internal threats .
Vice President Maheen Salman said that PM Khan's decision of giving extension in tenure to CoAS truly represents the hopes and sentiment of people and business community in specific. "I believe this decision will send a strong message to our enemies and will bring prosperity and stability to the nation" he added.
Chairman of the Businessmen Panel (BMP) Mian Anjum Nisar, and other officials Mian Zahid Hussain, Zakria Usman, Shahzeb Akram, Sheikh Muhammad Aslam and Ch Ahmad Jawad have congratulated General Qamar Javed Bajwa on his 3 years extension in his tenure as Chief of Army Staff (CoAS).
They also expressed that CoAS believed that economic insecurity have a big challenge for the state of Pakistan which means how our institutions want to help the political government to stabilise the economy in a right direction.
Spokesperson for BMP, Ahmad Jawad further said, "Right now we are lucky enough that military and civil government are on the same page which is a good omen for the business community as well new investors."
