Governing bodies of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI)'s Punjab and Southern Punjab chapters on Tuesday strongly condemned the unconstitutional and illegal step of changing the special status of Indian Occupied Kashmir and Indian cruelties against Kashmiris. During a meeting, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, who chaired the meeting, PTI Punjab President Ijaz Chaudhary and members of governing bodies expressed their complete solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
While addressing the meeting, Usman Buzdar said that Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir. "I have announced to name one road in every district and one park in every division after Kashmir and the commissioners and district commissioners have been asked to identify roads and parks," he added. He said that they have served people with dedication in the past one year and added that successive governments compounded problems and failed to resolve problems faced by people in the last 30 years. "The dream of PM Imran Khan of bringing a change will be materialised," he added.
He said that a record legislation has been made by the Punjab government during the last one year and new examples of austerity have been set. "I am happy to meet with the provincial office-bearers of the party and consultations will be continued. The party structure will be further strengthened and genuine demands of party workers and office-bearers will be fulfilled. I do not have any other agenda except public service," he added. The CM said that every possible step will be taken in the best interest of the country and the province and party workers will be given respect and honour. "The Punjab government has allocated 35 percent funds for southern Punjab and these funds would not be utilized for any other district or purpose," he added.
He said the government would take benefit of diverse experience and expertise of PTI office-bearers and their recommendations would be implemented upon. "We will move shoulder to shoulder in the journey of public service," he said.
He said that a project is being started for improving the sewerage system of Lahore with an amount of Rs 19 billion. "The past government only spent Rs 3 billion on sewerage system during the last 10 years," he added.
He said that reforms have been introduced for the development of different sectors, including health, education, agriculture and industry. He said that water storage projects were ignored in the past but the incumbent government is constructing small dams in DG Khan, Potohar region and Rajanpur. PTI Punjab President Ijaz Chaudhary said that the party is being organized at the grassroots, adding that provincial-level convention will be convened soon.
