PESHAWAR; Speaker, National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said that Pakistan will raise voice for Kashmir on all forums including diplomatic and political platforms adding that Narindara Modi has not abolished the Article 370 of the Indian Constitution to abolish the special status of Kashmir rather signed the warrant of his own destruction.
He expressed these views while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Atla Dam (Gadoon) and Piro High Level Canal drinking water provision projects for Swabi on Saturday. KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai, MPAs Abdul Karim Khan, Nawabzada Salahuddin, Rangez Khan and Tehsil Nazim, Sohail Khan were also present on the occasion. The Speaker, National Assembly said that Pakistan had entered into a new crossroad in wake of the prevailing situation in Occupied Kashmir. He said that the people of Kashmir are standing like iron wall against the extreme atrocities and barbarism of the Indian security forces.
He said that the tyrant and oppressor of the present era, Indian PM Modi should not forget that he would succeed in demoralizing the spirits of the people of Kashmir through violating human rights and turning Occupied Kashmir into the largest prison of the world. During briefing regarding Atla Dam, the Speaker National Assembly was told the water reservoir to be completed at the cost of Rs 1.577 billion in a period of two years will benefit 86 villages of district Swabi and they will get clean drinking water.
Asad Qaiser said that very soon, a 40-bed Category-D Hospital, Degree College and roads would be constructed in Gadoon soon. He said that before PTI, the previous rulers used to befool people in the name of pipeline and miserably failed. He said that the incumbent government not limits its commitments and claims to merely papers rather utilize all resources for its initiation to completion.
He said that in case no step have had taken for the construction of Atla Dam, then life after next ten years would have become difficult in Gadoon and the people would have to face scarcity of even drinking water.
The NA Speaker said that a 220-KVA grid station is being constructed at the cost of Rs 5.5 billion to resolve the low power voltage problem in Swabi on permanent basis. The completion of the project, he said would resolve the problem of low voltage in the area for a period of one century.
He said that emergency based steps are in progress for the provision of the facility of natural gas to all deprived villages of the district. He said that federal government has sanctioned him an amount of Rs 50 million for utilization on development schemes in Gadoon.
