According to the United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, the world body is watching the alarming situation in Occupied Kashmir and his organization will continue playing its role in this regard.
The UN chief, who is currently on an official visit to France, has been told that people of Kashmir were denied religious obligations on Friday and faced shelling when tried to march towards UN office. He was also told that Pakistan fears that India can do a Pulwama-like drama again to divert global attention from Kashmir issue.
That the regional peace situation has become precarious after the unilateral steps taken by India in Occupied Kashmir is a fact. The UN Security Council is required to take some urgent steps aimed at defusing the current volatile situation in South Asia.
It seems that the UN chief has only paid lip service to the people in Occupied Jammu & Kashmir, but he has done nothing meaningful to help them.
