Prime Minister Imran Khan has said there is a golden opportunity for the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir to get freedom after the 'historical blunder' committed by Modi's government and, therefore, it is important for the people and government of Pakistan to stand by Kashmiris at this decisive point. On Monday, in his televised address to the nation on the government's efforts and future plan on Kashmir issue, the Prime Minister stated that he wants to speak to the nation on Kashmir situation at a time when Pakistan's Kashmir policy has come to a decisive turn.
He said that it is important for the people of Kashmir that people and government of Pakistan stand by them at this critical juncture and urged the nation that from now onward to September 27 - the date for the United Nations (UN) session - the people of Pakistan would have to spare half an hour every week to demonstrate their support to the people of Kashmir.
There would be an half an hour event every week and people must stop work in offices, schools, universities and homes to come out and 'stand up' to show their support to the people of Occupied Kashmir and this week the event would be on Friday from 12:00 to 12:30, he further said. This weekly event would continue till September 27 when UN session would take place, he added.
He said the India government's design if led to triggering a nuclear war, it would not lead to triumph or defeat of any country but would impact the entire world. Pakistan will go to any extent now and will stand by Kashmiris whether or not the world supports them.
He said he takes the responsibility for raising the Kashmir issue at every forum as 'Ambassador of Kashmir' to expose Indian atrocities against Kashmiris in the valley. All the legal forums would be explored, he added.
While sharing the government's future plan of action on Kashmir, he stated that he would also inform the world that Indian government has been pursuing a fascist agenda and dangerous ideology and this kind of ideology had caused destruction in the world.
He said that he would draw the attention of the entire world leaders towards Kashmir and urged the people that there is no need to be disappointed if some Muslim countries are standing with India due to their economic interests as gradually they would begin supporting the people in Kashmir.
He said that Kashmir dispute is the biggest responsibility for the United Nations (UN) to deliver on its resolutions that promise a plebiscite, as so far the UN has stood by the powerful and over 1.25 billion Muslims are now looking at the UN whether it would help them or not.
He said that Modi's government has committed a big mistake rather a historical blunder in arrogance which provided a golden opportunity to the people of IOK to get freedom. He said this blunder was based on two things: (1) their violence would make Kashmir quiet and the world would not take notice of it; (2) to carry out a false flag operation to divert world attention from Kashmir issue. He further said that Pakistan has credible information that India plans to carry out a false flag operation.
Pakistan has been able to counter the Indian designs and internationalise the Kashmir issue and for the first time the UNSC after 1965 convened a session which led to internationalise the issue against the expectation of the Indian government. Additionally, he said that the government approached the world leaders and international media has also taken up the matter.
He said that his government's effort after coming to power was to bring about peace with the neighbours so that economic condition of the people could be improved. He said that Pakistan's and India's challenges are similar so Pakistan's effort was to have friendship with all the neighbours. "I also made peace offer to India but Indian response was not positive and it remained busy searching opportunities to implicate Pakistan in terrorism."
He said that despite the fact that Indian government's entire election campaign was based on anti-Muslim agenda, Pakistan waited in hope that once election campaign is over, Indian government may come to dialogue with Pakistan.
But after the election was over, India tried to bankrupt Pakistan and lobbied with all the members to get Pakistan blacklisted at Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and made Islamabad realised that there is no need of dialogue with New Delhi.
The Prime Minister said that Indian government's decision to revoke special status granted to Kashmir was against the UNSC resolutions, Indian constitution, decisions of Indian Supreme Court and high court, the promise made by their founding fathers Gandhi and Nehru to the people of Kashmir, and the concept of a secular state.
There was a clear message from Indian government's action of August 5 that "India is only for Hindus and people belonging to other religions in the country are second-class citizen". So there is need to understand why all this has been happening because this is being done in accordance with RSS ideology of Hindu rule.
This ideology of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is based on enmity against Muslims because it believes that Hindus could not become a great nation due to Muslim rule in India, and now there is time to teach Muslims a lesson.
He further said that Hitler and Mussolini are RSS role models and it follows a fascist ideology, adding even BJP was accused by the previous government of Congress of producing terrorist in its camps who are now attacking minorities in India and this ideology is now trying to turn India into a Hindu state.
APP adds: He said Pakistan's Kashmir policy was at a decisive point and it has apprised the world about the plight of the 80 million Kashmiri people.
Imran Khan's speech came as the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir endured 22nd day of detention in their homes, without any access to food, medicines, communication facilities. India unilaterally changed the status of the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir on August 5 that guaranteed special rights to the people of the Muslim-majority region.
