On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,155. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6.959 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 8,523. Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 3.731 billion, followed by WTI Crude Oil PKR 991.163 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 729.940 million, Platinum PKR 609.694 million, DJ PKR 281.758 million, Silver PKR 222.316 million, NSDQ100 PKR 184.936 million, Palladium PKR 119.594 million, SP500 PKR 52.820 million, Copper PKR 20.070 million, Brent Crude Oil PKR 10.533 million and Natural Gas PKR 5.012 million. In agriculture six lots of Cotton amounting at PKR 2.772 million were traded.
