Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerce and Cooperative Department Jam Ikram Ullah Dharejo has said that he would take all possible measures to resolve the issues of cooperative societies to provide relief to people. He advised officers to arrange public awareness seminars on cooperative department through media and complaint cell within the department should also be established at earliest.
Presiding over a meeting, he said that he would himself visit the societies to monitor the ground realities and energetic officers/officials should be posted in the field and action would be initiated against those whom department was receiving frequent complaints. Provincial minister Jam Ikram Ullah Dharejo also asked to speed up automation scheme for cooperative department, adding that registrar cooperative societies should spare more time for regional offices.
It was suggested in the meeting that for smooth and efficient functioning of cooperative societies the private administrators should discontinued and discouraged in future. It was further suggested that the registrar cooperative societies should take all possible efforts for conducting elections in the societies.
