On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,214. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 7.744 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 9,172.
Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 3.160 billion, followed by Currencies through COTS PKR 1.377 billion, WTI Crude Oil PKR 972.811 million, Platinum PKR 666.709 million, Silver PKR 590.067 million, NSDQ100 PKR 378.615 million, DJ PKR 234.064 million, Copper PKR 179.015 million, Natural Gas PKR 68.779 million, SP500 PKR 57.201 million, Palladium PKR 48.482 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 10.872 million. In agriculture seven lots of Cotton amounting at PKR 11.366 million and two lots of Wheat amounting at PKR 7.139 million were traded.
