Over seven cases of car lifting, six cases of various kinds of theft and four cases of kidnapping were reported to various police stations of the city during the last week.
The most 'favorite' areas for criminal gangs were within the limits of Margalla, Golra and Nilor police stations during the last week. During the last week Margalla police station registered two cases of motor vehicle theft. Akash Shehzad filed a complaint with Margalla police station that auto thieves stole his bike bearing registration number RIP-7245. The auto thieves stole another vehicle bearing registration number LES-2288 of Ghulam Murtaza.
Two more car thefts were reported to Golra police station in the same period. Motor vehicle thieves stole a bike bearing registration number BRK-5649 of Muhammad Shoaib and lifted a bike bearing registration number WM-859 of Muhammad Ishaq.
Rehman Gul lodged a case with Nilor police station that accused Wajid and others stole gas cylinder and other valuables from his house. Tanweer Fatima informed Sihala police station that five unknown persons snatched her purse containing cash and a mobile phone.
Another Nasir Ali lodged a complaint with Karachi Company police station that unidentified robbers snatched a mobile phone from him. In the same period, Industrial Area and Ramna police stations registered one case each of auto theft while one case each of kidnapping was reported to Bani Gala, Kohsar, Shalimar, and Bhara Kahu police stations.
