The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Saturday made former judge Islamabad accountability court Arshad Malik an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) from the date of his suspension, involved in video scandal. According to a notification issued by LHC Registrar, the LHC Chief Justice posted Muhammad Arshad Malik, District & Sessions Judge/awaiting posting, as Officer on Special Duty at Sessions Court, Lahore with effect from August 22, 2019.
Islamabad High Court (IHC) had suspended and repatriated the D&SJ Arshad Malik to the LHC, for further disciplinary proceedings in light of his affidavit he filed after the video scandal. A notification issued by IHC had stated that "The affidavit, prima facie, constitutes acts of misconduct and violation of the code of conduct, which warrant initiation of disciplinary proceedings against him".
