Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Shabbar Zaidi said Sunday that the FBR has received an additional revenue of Rs 5 billion from increased number of 0.6 million income tax returns filed for the tax year 2018. During the press conference held here on Sunday, Chairman FBR Shabbar Zaidi said that the number of tax filers increased by 0.6 million during Tax Year 2018 as return filers went up from 1.9 million to 2.5 million. The amount received along with increased number of filers stood at Rs 5 billion, he added.
He said that the FBR launched mobile App for filing of tax returns. FBR Chairman said that the licensing rules for placing track and trace system were issued before his joining as Chairman FBR but they had decided that PPRA Rules would be implemented to award this project. Meanwhile, according to a tweet of Chairman FBR Shabbar Zaidi here on Sunday night, the FBR has updated Tax Asaan app for income tax return filing (salaried persons). This will greatly assist you in filing your returns free from any trouble. Encourage you all to submit your returns in time. This will take a few minutes to file your returns, Shabbar Zaidi tweet added.
