Environment Protection Department (EPD) Punjab has directed all its officers to pace up the process of surveillance against spread of dengue disease and to take measures for controlling it. Directives were issued by the Secretary Environment Salman Ijaz while chairing a high-level meeting held here on Wednesday in the committee room of Environment Protection Department. The meeting reviewed the measures to prevent dengue, which was attended by Director General Environment Protection Irfan Nazir, Director Environment Naseem-ur-Rehman Shah, Director Nusrat Naaz and other concerned officers. On this occasion, Secretary Environment directed all officers concerned to come out in the field on daily basis and conduct surveys. He said that more teams have been constituted for controlling the dengue disease. The process of surveillance has been increased especially in Rawalpindi and Lahore.
