Rana Sikandar Azam, Zafar Iqbal Sarwar and Bilal Waheed were elected FCCI President, Senior Vice President and Vice President respectively for the year 2019-20.
Announcing the provisional results of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry here today, Mian Aftab Ahmed Senior Member FCCI Election Commission said that utmost efforts were made to keep election process neat, clean, fair, free and impartial by strictly adhering to the relevant laws of the Director General Trade Organization (DGTO). He said that it is very encouraging that not even a single complaint was lodged with Election Commission or DGTO which clearly indicates that elections were held fairly up to the entire satisfaction of all contestants.
Member Election Commission Muzzamil Sultan told that provisionally Sheikh Muhammad Amin of M/s Mehrban Fabrics (Pvt) Ltd., Mahmood ul Hassan of M/s Nishitex Enterprises, Mr. Arif Ehsan Malik of M/s Al-Ghani International, Sheikh Khalil Qaisar of M/s Shamas Brothers (Pvt) Ltd, Muhammad Abdullah Qadri M/s. Sitara Labels (Pvt) Ltd, Kashif Zia of M/s Lahore Fashions and Abdul Rehman of M/s Fast Feed (Pvt) Ltd were elected as executive member for the vacant seats of corporate class.
Chaudhry Muhammad Nawaz member Election Commission announced the names of successful candidates from Associate Class. Among there includes Rana Muhammad Sikandar Azam of M/s Rao Corporation, Ch Talat Mahmood of M/s Talat Mehmood Cut Piece Dealer, Engineer Muhammad Babar Shahzad of M/s Babar Shehzad & Saqib Shahzad, Ayub Aslam Manj of M/s Manj Commission Shop, Khurram Ikhlaq of M/s Mubarak Textiles, Dr Sajjad Arshad of M/s Dr Sajjad Arshad Poultry Farm and Ashfaq Ashraf of M/s Ashraf & Company.
He further told that only one candidate M/s Qurrat ul Ain of ITHEM college had filed nomination paper for the one vacant seat for women and hence, she was also elected uncontested.
Mian Aftab Ahmed Senior Member Election Commission thanked journalists and the media for projecting the FCCI activities and announced the names of the newly-elected office-bearers for the year 2019-20. He also congratulated the newly-elected office-bearers and executive members and hoped that they would play their role to further elevate the image of this chamber.
