Aerated water units involved in tax evasion raided

The Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation Inland Revenue (IR) has raided the business premises of three manufactures of bottled aerated/mineral water within the jurisdiction of federal capital, detecting tax evasion to the tune of millions of rupees.
Under the supervision of Sarwat Malik Habib, Deputy Director I&I IR, the team successfully raided three prominent manufactures of bottled aerated/mineral water located in the rural vicinity of the capital including unregistered manufacturers, who were involved in massive tax evasion. Among the units, two manufacturers are unregistered with the tax department. Sources added that the cases have been filed and further legal proceedings are under way against the said manufacturers.
