With an initial amount of two million rupees, the Lahore Chamber and Industry (LCCI) has established "Earthquake Relief Fund" for the affectees of earthquake that hit parts of the country on Tuesday. The LCCI President Almas Hyder, Senior Vice President Khawaja Shahzad Nasir and Vice President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigal said, here Wednesday that the fund has been set up to help the victims who are in dire need of rescue. They appealed to the members of the Lahore Chamber to show generosity towards their catastrophe-hit brothers and sisters.
Almas Hyder said that business community has to perform an extraordinary role as the situation had become too grave to be handled by the government alone.
