Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday extended the interim bail of provincial minister Sohail Anwar Sial till November 5, 2019 and ordered National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to conclude the inquiry against him in two months.
A division bench of the SHC headed by Chief Justice Ahmed Ali M Sheikh hearing the petition of Sial also sought the details of inquiry against him from NAB.
NAB prosecutor told the court that call up notice was issued to Sial, however he didn't know the details of inquiry against him, at which the court ordered counsel of Sial to provide the copy of call up notice to NAB attorney.
NAB prosecutor sought the time for conclusion of inquiry, upon which the court inquired about the time. "NAB needs four weeks time," the prosecutor submitted, at which the court said that NAB has been given two month to complete its work and put off the hearing of the case.
Meanwhile, the SHC bench also extended the interim bail of Mustafa Kamal, Chairman Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) and others in illegal allotment of plots till October 15, 2019. NAB accused Kamal and others of giving permission illegally to a builder to raise multi-storey building in Clifton area of the city.
