Govt to turn Shangla into tourism destination: Shaukat Yusufzai
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information, Shaukat Yusufzai Friday said that three places of district Shangla including Pir Sar, Burj Banda and Kafir Banda are being turned into international standard tourism centres.
In an official handout issued here, he said that for conducting survey of these projects, a consultant has already been appointed.
These projects, he said would improve the conditions of roads while quality hotels and camping tents would also be established at these spots.
Furthermore, the provincial minister for information said that the turning of these areas into tourists’ destination would provide employment and generate business activities for the local population.
He said that Shangla has big potential of tourism, whose utilization can arrest unemployment and generate new opportunities of business for the local population.
