Expressing concern over deteriorating situation of economy and law and order, Jamaat-e-Islami chief Senator Sirajul Haq has said that the PTI government has desperately failed to fulfill the promises it made to the public during the election campaign. "If the prime minister has decided to remove the ministers over their preference then I'm afraid he has to fire the entire cabinet," said Siraj while talking to party workers at Mansoora on Monday.
He said the statement of the Governor of the State Bank that country's debts crossed 80 per cent of the total GDP was shocking and it was reflection of the government performance. The decision of Imran Khan to again reshuffle the cabinet, he added, would again prove transitory and not a permanent solution. "Rulers have pushed the economy and politics to the wall. The government expenditures are increasing but revenue targets are unachieved."
He said the people especially the youth were worried as inflation and unemployment were touching its peaks and they were seeing no sign of improvement. A common man was feeling unsafe due to the police attitude and overall law and order situation, he added. Doctors were on strike and Peshawar was presenting a resembling situation of Sri Nagar, said Siraj.
The JI chief said that those who were outspoken supporter of the PTI were desperate as they found no reason to back the government now. The rulers itself, he said, were rely on speeches and hollow claims. The government lacked planning and expertise, he said.
Siraj said the JI believed that country was blessed with numerous natural recourses and manpower but the past and present rulers failed to utilize this wealth for the benefit of the public. Bad governance and mismanagement were keys to the failure of the past and present government, he added.
Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami Naib Amir Liaqat Baloch has said that the people of Pakistan must demonstrate unity in support of their Kashmiri brethren.
Addressing an event in Kot Radha Kishan on Monday, he said that it was religious and national duty of every Pakistan to raise voice against Indian cruelties in Occupied Kashmir.
Baloch said the PM performed well in UNGA but mere a good speech was not enough to win the case of Kashmir. So far, he said, no news of any breakthrough on Kashmir appeared as millions were forced to live like prisoners. He demanded the government take into confidence the national leadership from different parties on Kashmir. He said the PM should fulfill its promise to transform Pakistan into a Madina-like-state. He said the conspiracies against laws dealing with the protection of the prophet-hood must be stopped.
