Paris: Europe's main stock markets opened flat on Friday after Asian markets were mixed and Wall Street down as investors cautiously await news from US-China trade talks.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index was up 0.7 at open, while London's benchmark FTSE 100 was flat, as was the Paris CAC 40.
Analysts said investors were holding fire for the moment, with movement expected on Friday from high-level talks between the United States and China on finding a truce in their trade war.
