Sylvester Stallone’s last ‘Rambo’ film to hit theatres on September 20
The fifth installment of the ‘Rambo’ franchise, ‘Rambo: Last Blood’ will hit theaters on September 20, 37 years after the series launched with ‘First Blood’. This will be last Rambo film for Sylvester Stallone.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lionsgate has set a release date, and Rambo 5: Last Blood will open in theaters on September 20. That will put ‘Last Blood’ about a month away from ‘First Blood’ 37th anniversary. This fifth film in the franchise will be Stallone’s final portrayal of the knife-wielding Vietnam War veteran who he last played in 2008’s Rambo.
This time the story centers on Stallone’s John Rambo crossing into Mexico and taking on a violent cartel when the daughter of one of his friends is kidnapped.
‘Rambo: Last Blood’ also stars Paz Vega, Sergio Peris-Mencheta and Yvette Monreal.
Stallone, who was 36 when the first film premiered, will be 73 at the release ‘Last Blood’. Last week he also shared the transformation from year 1985 to 2009 through an Instagram post.
