KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Thursday at 19,477.90 points with a positive change of 111.43 and volume of 99,147,100 shares. High and Low were 19,605.92 and 19,277.59 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 20 were up, 10 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 143,798,400 shares. Total companies traded were 338 of which 181 were positive, 129 were negative and 28 were unchanged.

Cement was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 37,858,800 shares. It was followed by Technology and Communication with a total traded volume of 23,961,800 shares.

The top three advancers were Unilever Pakistan Food Limited with a volume of 80 and price per share of 6,500 (250.00), Siemens (Pakistan) Engineering Company Ltd. with a volume of 1,100 and price per share of 745 (25.00), Nestle Pakistan Limited with a volume of 1,060 and price per share of 7,789.05 (21.05).

The top three decliners were Jubilee Life Insurance Company Limited with a volume of 450 and price per share of 336.37 (-10.03), Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited with a volume of 1,850 and price per share of 413 (-7.19), Gadoon Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 1,200 and price per share of 220.83 (-6.62).
