The career-focused social networking site LinkedIn is taking an approach similar to that found on Facebook by adding ‘reactions’, which are more business-friendly.

Just like Facebook has reactions apart from its usual ‘like’ button such as ‘Love’, ‘Sad’, ‘Haha’, and ‘Angry’, LinkedIn too has introduced ‘Reactions’ feature, but with a distinctly business-like flair.

Apart from the usual liking or loving a post made on the business-focused site, user can now also react ‘Celebrate’ to congratulate someone on their new accomplishment, use the ‘Insightful’ reaction when someone posts a piece of wisdom or an interesting idea, or react ‘Curious’ to show one’s desire to learn more or react to a thought-provoking topic, explained LinkedIn.

Facebook to reportedly merge WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger

“Today we’re starting to roll out a set of Reactions on LinkedIn, giving you more ways to quickly and constructively communicate with one another,” wrote the business oriented service. “As a poster, these new reactions can help you better understand the impact your posts are having.”

However, though these reactions are rolling out, not everyone will get them. LinkedIn informed that the Reactions feature will be available to everyone both in mobile apps and on the web in ‘coming months’.

“We hope these reactions help you better connect and talk with your community on LinkedIn!” wrote the social networking site on its blog post.
