KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Thursday at 19,693.05 points with a positive change of 87.73 and volume of 136,177,000 shares. High and Low were 19,828.12 and 19,381.11 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 12 were up, 17 were down and 1 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 216,247,640 shares. Total companies traded were 323 of which 118 were positive, 185 were negative and 20 were unchanged.

Commercial Banks was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 61,647,700 shares. It was followed by Vanaspati and Allied Industries with a total traded volume of 54,412,300 shares.

The top three advancers were Indus Motor Company Limited with a volume of 5,380 and price per share of 1,301.45 (13.42), Pak Suzuki Motors Co Ltd with a volume of 1,048,000 and price per share of 252.72 (8.02), Pakistan Engineering Company Limited with a volume of 200 and price per share of 138.60 (6.60).

The top three decliners were Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 50 and price per share of 765 (-34.99), Service Industries Limited with a volume of 9,500 and price per share of 745.71 (-13.52), Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 100 and price per share of 1,622 (-10.50).
